Overview

Our client is seeking a Financial Planner in the North London / South Hertfordshire area to join their IFA team. They offer a highly competitive salary linked to recurring income and a generous monthly bonus of 25% of initial fees on all new business written, plus additional tiered annual bonus for meeting benchmarks. You will be supplied with an existing HNW client bank to takeover and grow, with full back-office support from Paraplanners and Administrators, plus state-of-the-art AI processes to enable you to concentrate on client-facing fact-finding and recommendation meetings. You will provide fully independent financial planning advice including cashflow modelling.

They are seeking a client-focused Financial Planner who builds strong relationships and provides excellent service, aiming to grow the client bank organically through referrals. Successful Financial Planners in their team achieve this through high levels of service and exceptional client relationships.

You should focus on conducting in-depth reviews to understand your clients’ current and future financial goals and objectives, and with the support of the back-office team and AI-generated reports formulate appropriate financial strategies. You will be advising on clients pensions, savings, investments and other financial needs.

This role is ideal for an experienced Financial Planner who wants to take the next step in their career and join a growing business. The client will assist in growth by offering streamlined processes and full back-office support to enable you to spend more time servicing and growing your client bank.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver fully independent financial planning advice, including cashflow modelling to identify and address client needs.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews to understand clients’ current and future financial goals and objectives.
  • Advise on pensions, savings, investments and related financial needs.
  • Grow and manage a client bank (starting with an existing HNW client bank) through referrals and high-quality client service.
  • Collaborate with a back-office team of Paraplanners and Administrators and leverage AI processes to enhance efficiency.
Financial Planner Requirements
  • Full Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent (must).
  • Ideally Chartered or working towards chartered status.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor, with emphasis on advice to HNW individuals.
  • Proven track record of growing a client bank through referrals and addressing evolving client needs (e.g., due to changes effective from April 2027).
  • Experience with cashflow modelling to identify IHT liabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Client-centric approach with dedication to doing the right thing for clients and meeting financial objectives and tax strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, approachability, professionalism and good IT skills.
