Senior Financial Accountant Manchester City Centre - Hybrid Working Up to £62,000 DOE I am excited to be exclusively partnered with an award-winning professional services firm who have their central function based in beautiful Manchester City Centre offices. Due to continued growth and internal progression my client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their established finance function.

This role will report directly into the Financial Controller - a fantastic mentor and somebody who will help you grow and develop within this role. You will have the opportunity to really make this role your own and develop a great team.

This is a high-profile role involving interaction across the business at all levels with both financial and non‑financial people, providing accounting expertise and financial knowledge to the wider finance team to collaborate and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting.

Key Duties:
  • Day‑to‑day management and supervision of the assistant accountant team.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in running the day‑to‑day operations and processes of the department.
  • Dealing with mid‑level and high‑level queries that come into the department.
  • Coordinating month end processes.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Supervision of the preparation of financial reporting for smaller group entities.
  • Driving process improvements and developing controls alongside the Financial Controller.
  • Assisting in the provision of supporting documentation for the external auditors.
About You:
  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3 years + post qualification experience.
  • Experience in managing and developing junior team members.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent systems knowledge and the ability to learn new software quickly and advise upon it.
