Overview

Due to growth, our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a key role focused on delivering accurate consolidated reporting and supporting financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal for someone with a strong accounting experience in both practice and industry, and familiarity with global accounting standards.

Reporting into the Department Heads, duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring alignment with US GAAP or IFRS, as applicable
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Oversee year-end audit process
  • Collaborate with tax advisors to manage multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and ensure accurate filings across the group
  • Maintain and improve the group's chart of accounts, promoting consistency and alignment across all business units
  • Monitor evolving tax requirements and contribute to timely and accurate group-level tax submissions
  • Support the ongoing development of internal controls, financial policies, and process improvements
  • Provide clear and practical advice on complex accounting issues and assist in implementing new accounting standards
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested by senior leadership.

This role is likely to suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with strong knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards with both industry and practice exposure. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of intercompany accounting, tax compliance and audit coordination.

You will possess strong Excel skills alongside, experience working with ERP systems and Xero.
