Job summary

A leading recruitment company is seeking a Finance Manager to join a new Wellness/Hospitality business. The role involves developing financial models, budgeting, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance in project finance. The successful candidate will have a strong finance background with 5-8 years of experience, preferably in the Hospitality sector. This is a fantastic opportunity with a salary ranging from £80,000 - 100,000, and some travel will be required for project opening in the UAE.

About Our Client

This opportunity is with a new company in the Wellness/Hospitality industry who are in process of developing and launching their first location in the UAE! They have strong financial backing, established advisors and consultancy support, and have ambitious growth targets over the next several years!

Job Description
  • Project Planning & Feasibility
    • Lead the development of detailed financial models for new projects, including cost estimates, revenue projections, ROI, NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analyses.
    • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and prepare financial due-diligence reports.
    • Support leadership in business case development, risk assessment, and capital allocation decisions.
    • Collaborate with project, operations, and strategy teams to align financial plans with operational assumptions.
  • 2. Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Prepare project budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and funding requirements.
    • Establish financial KPIs and project milestones with clear measurement metrics.
    • Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
    • Work with procurement, contracts, and operations to ensure accurate costing and allocation.
  • 3. Financial Control & Monitoring
    • Oversee financial operations of active projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and compliance standards.
    • Track and report project expenditures, revenue recognition, and cost-control measures.
    • Implement robust financial controls to mitigate risks and prevent cost overruns.
    • Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide management with variance analyses and action plans.
  • 4. Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare regular project finance reports for senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement processes and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
    • Work with external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions as required.
    • Maintain documentation and project financial records in accordance with company policies.
  • 5. Stakeholder Management
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders including operations, engineering, procurement, and executive teams.
    • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for funding, guarantees, and project-related financial transactions.
    • Support investor relations by providing financial insights and project status updates.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, or financial planning & analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of project costing, capital projects, and financial control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • BONUS: experience in Hospitality sector, new location openings, scale up businesses, partnering with Founders, etc.
  • NOTE: SOME TRAVEL REQUIRED - first location to open in the UAE
