Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst

Location: Liverpool, Cardiff or Farnborough (Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Contract type: Permanent

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified or Passed Finalist Accountant to join our finance team in one of our key finance locations (Liverpool/Farnborough/Cardiff) as a Senior Finance Analyst.

Working within a dynamic and fast‑paced finance function, you will take ownership of reporting and management accounting for a number of product categories within the ARO Finance team.

You will primarily support the Finance Business Partner by delivering insightful analysis, accurate reporting, and by providing proactive financial support to drive performance across product categories. This role combines core management accounting with advanced analytics to enable strategic decision-making.

This is a great opportunity to develop your experience and we will support you with completing your professional finance qualification. Realistic progression opportunities available also.

Please note that this is a Hybrid role with onsite requirement 3 days a week. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare, review & summarise monthly P&L results and own balance sheet reconciliations for assigned areas
  • Deliver variance analysis with actionable insights for multiple senior stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting & budgeting
  • Business Partner with operational and sales teams to understand performance drivers, identify improvement opportunities & highlight areas of risk
  • Support year‑end accounts and audit processes
  • Respond to ad hoc financial enquiries by gathering and interpreting data
  • Drive process automation and reporting enhancements using BI tools
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including scenario planning and investment appraisal
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of the new finance system (Dynamics)
Requirements
What we are looking for?

Essential:

  • Newly Qualified or Finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3‑5 years’ industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to summarise and portray the wider story
  • Advanced Excel and experience with BI tools (Power BI)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Good level of organisational skills and ability to forward plan and take initiative

Desirable

  • Experience with external audit planning & delivery and reporting under UK GAAP with IFRS awareness
  • Experience with internal finance projects
  • Dynamics (F&O) and Dynamics BI Reporting
