Working Hours: 5‑day week (Monday‑Saturday rota, hours typically 9am‑5:30pm; extended hours expected on event days)

Our client, a fast‑paced and high‑growth company, is the UK’s leading training organisation helping thousands of Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Celebrities build, grow, and scale their businesses.

They are looking for bright and enthusiastic professionals to join their events team that have a strong background in organising and hosting events, love meeting and networking with clients/delegates, and who have a key eye on detail.

As a Senior Events Operations Lead, you’ll be at the heart of the action — travelling nationwide to help plan, build, and deliver powerful events that drive real business impact. Around 50% of your time will be spent on the road, staying in hotels, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with their expert team, and making sure every event runs like clockwork.

When you’re not on the road, you’ll be back at their HQ in Chelmsford, helping plan the next event.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pre‑Event Planning
  • Coordinate staffing with Sales, AV, and Speaker teams
  • Liaise with HQ to sign off venues
  • Ensure all stock, supplies, and travel logistics are in place
  • Make contact with venues in advance to ensure smooth handover
  • Handle any final negotiations (e.g. catering, access times) if required
  • Contribute to location selection in collaboration with the Marketing team
  • Event Delivery: Lead the delivery of Preview Events across the UK
  • Brief and coordinate the on‑site event team
  • Monitor sales activity and energy in the room
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure every event delivers a high standard of client experience
  • Manage logistics of travel to and from venues, including accommodation planning and driving the van where required
  • Keep track of costs and on‑the‑road spend
Your Background & Skills
  • A people person – friendly, confident, and a natural communicator.
  • Background in event operations (essential).
  • Some experience with events sales or relationship‑driven selling – you enjoy the process of connecting and influencing.
  • You’re not looking for a 9‑5 office role – you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy travelling and working weekends when needed.
  • You’re sharp, proactive, and take pride in delivering outstanding experiences.
  • Professional, well‑presented, and switched‑on – someone who can represent the company at a high standard in front of clients and guests.
  • A Driving Licence is a MUST for this role as you will need to be able to travel with the team and share driving responsibilities in the company transport vehicles.
What You Will Get
  • £40‑45k basic plus a potential bonus based on event success
  • A chance to be part of a fast‑growing, high‑performance team.
  • Travel across the UK and build a network with thousands of clients.
  • Work alongside some of the UK’s top speakers and coaches.
  • Incredible exposure to the world of business training, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
