Senior Electronics Engineer (Live UK SC Clearance) Defence Technology Chertsey Outside IR35

Are you a Senior Electronics Engineer passionate about transforming concepts into cutting‑edge defence solutions? Join a dynamic, innovative design team working on advanced MoD projects that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital & analogue circuits, PCBs, and complete systems
  • Lead projects from initial concept through design, manufacture, and customer acceptance
  • Drive systems integration and hands‑on fault‑finding to ensure robust performance
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including test houses
  • Ensure compliance with CE/UKCA, EMC, RoHS, and Safety standards
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation: schematics, BOMs, change notes
  • Present at design reviews and support technical discussions confidently
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in electronics design and development (digital and analogue)
  • Proficiency with OrCAD or similar schematic capture and PCB design tools
  • Solid knowledge of legislative compliance: UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, and Safety standards
  • Strong hands‑on skills with excellent fault‑finding and systems integration expertise
  • Degree in Electronics, Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Current live UK Security Clearance (SC) DV eligibility essential
  • Experience working with MoD customers and defence equipment standards (Sonar experience is a strong advantage)
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills
