We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Consulting Engineer to join our growing UK Power team and deliver technically challenging projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of power sector projects and play a key role in technical problem-solving, client support and developing innovative solutions. Responsibilities include :

• Supporting and leading the delivery of electrical engineering projects across distribution and transmission systems.
• Producing and reviewing technical specifications, FEED and concept studies.
• Acting as Owner’s Engineer and providing technical advisory / due diligence support.
• Undertaking cable system design, substation design (grid and distribution), and equipment specification.
• Assisting with tendering, bids, and proposals, providing technical expertise.
• Supporting site-based activities, including FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Helping to mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team growth.

What You’ll Bring : Skills & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng / BSc minimum; MEng / MSc desirable).
• Solid understanding of the UK electricity system and regulatory / stakeholder environment.
• Experience in the design, specification, construction, operation or maintenance of distribution and transmission level networks.
• Knowledge of key electrical equipment, such as: Gas and air insulated switchgear, transformers, harmonic filters, and reactive compensation equipment. Power cables (experience desirable). Power system protection and control (experience desirable).
• Previous project delivery experience (leading or co-ordinating tasks).
• Consulting experience (desirable, but not essential).
• Site experience (FAT, SAT, commissioning) – an advantage.
• Working towards or already holding Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IET (or similar).
