Senior Dispensing Technical Officer – Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust

37.5 hours per week, worked over 7 days with rest days allocated for weekend working.

Overview

We are looking for a team member who has experience of supervising staff and working in a hospital or community pharmacy environment that we can develop. The post holder will be involved in the supervision of a team of Dispensing Pharmacy Assistants in the dispensary at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise, train and support all dispensary staff and trainees, whilst maximising efficiency and accuracy in the dispensary.
  • Supervise staff on a day to day basis, work accurately under pressure, have a good eye for detail, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and deliver a high standard of patient focused service.
  • Participate in full dispensary duties.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services, or 4 GCSEs including English and Maths (grade C or above).

  • Hospital pharmacy experience
