Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: up to £65,000

About the Role

My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team within a leading banking organization. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, supporting mission‑critical banking platforms.

You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to enable continuous delivery while ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery for production systems
• Collaborate with development teams to support containerized and microservices‑based applications
• Enforce security best practices, identity management, and compliance requirements in a banking environment
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices across the organization
