Forbes Advisor is hiring! We are expanding our UK-based development team as we continue our journey to evolve Forbes Advisor from a leading publisher into a tech powerhouse in the US market. As a part of our Application Engineering team, you will play a key role building immersive experiences for Forbes Advisor's customers as well as developing bespoke internal tools for use in house by the Forbes Advisor team. Our engineering culture is flat and collaborative, where you will be empowered to help design, architect, and build solutions using the tools best suited to the job. Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable systems and applications. Own services end-to-end, ensuring high availability, performance, and security while continuously improving architecture and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with team of other senior engineers to help build solutions to meet the users needs. Contribute to a positive team culture fostering a supportive environment to motivate and challenge each other
• Embrace a product-driven agile approach with the space to build great things at fast pace. We value features delivered, and embrace continuous deployments, automated testing and the lowest possible maintenance overhead within the finished products.
• Collaborate with the broader marketplace team, tapping into expertise from industry and domain specialists across Europe and the US to create pioneering experiences.
• Leverage your technical expertise to disrupt the market and produce exciting new journeys and experiences for a US market.
• Demonstrated experience at a senior developer level, ideally involving high-performance web systems and client-facing projects.
• Experience with NodeJS (typescript) and C# (.net core), client-side JavaScript or experience using established frameworks (Vue, React, Angular)
• Experience working with AWS, automating testing and working with CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery
• Front end CSS/HTML 5 experience - ideally completing a full stack portfolio or with a willingness to lean into back and front-end technologies.
• Awareness of the serverless suite of tooling provided by Amazon Web Services.
• Analytical abilities, able to read and understand application telemetry, customer analytics and semantic monitoring to improve and optimise products and code.
• Effective collaborative skills to share ideas, lead architectural discussions, and ensure your insights are heard, contributing to solutions.

The role is UK based, working hand in glove with an integrated UK based senior product and development team. Team & Purpose

Forbes Advisor's core engineering team is based in India, supporting the substantial publishing platform. This initiative is to build a new parallel stack of micro services to fit in across the extensive estate of advisor and marketplace propositions to monetise content. The company has ambitions to build many journeys, addressing the architecture form the ground up in a modern serverless approach. The team would look to build a collection of services, extending and customising for brands and product areas. We have a vision of building the ultimate comparison technology, from MVP to fully features enquiry forms, CDL, product stores and aggregator layers, referral and fulfilment mechanisms and end to end tracking. The US market is expansive, immature and malleable to technically advanced new entrants.
