Job summary

A global Engineering and Manufacturing leader in Brighouse is seeking a Senior Design Engineer. This position offers flexible working hours and a competitive salary between £60,000 and £65,000, based on experience. Responsibilities include developing and re-engineering designs with AutoCAD, creating documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience within an engineering environment. Additional perks include 25 days of annual leave and company pension contributions of up to 8%.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar within an Engineering environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding of material selection.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards such as ISO, AGMA, DIN and FKM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new designs or re-engineer existing designs for new applications using AutoCAD to an expert level.
  • Create detailed component and assembly drawings.
  • Interpret customer specifications and design standards.

Skills

AutoCAD 2D & 3D
Material selection
Understanding of industry standards (ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM)
Experience using SAP MRP

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
