Job description

Reports to: Head of Cloud Security

Job Purpose: This role is a customer facing and you will play an active role in transforming our client's Security on their Microsoft platforms through designing and implementing Microsoft Security technologies on-premise and in the cloud. You are comfortable meeting clients and leading workshops with technical and managerial representatives of all levels.

As a member of our Cloud Security Consulting team, you will be helping to advise and deliver cloud security solutions for customers primarily using the Microsoft Security product stack, working closely and collaboratively with sales and other key stakeholder internal teams.

As a senior data security consultant you will use hands on and strategic technical expertise to deliver solutions to customers adhering to cloud security best practices. Working solo or within a team, this role will provide opportunities to work with enterprise level customers, helping to secure data in their environment.

Living on the bleeding edge of Microsoft innovation and data security techniques and controls, you will foster relationships with product engineers and facilitate enablement of preview features for customers.

This role is being advertised as a permanent position or an initial 6 month contract.

The Role will Involve:

  • Working in tandem with ITC sales team in supporting client engagements
  • Designing and building Microsoft security reference architectures for public, private, and hybrid Cloud based systems.
  • Leading technical discussions to assist our clients to align security strategy with business goals
  • Acting as an advisor for customers to accelerate Cloud security efforts across the board.
  • Delivering technical reviews of cloud security architecture against strategic cloud security frameworks.
  • Continuous development of skills and platform research to ensure that the team and business are always providing best practice solutions for our clients.
  • The occasional need for public speaking in support of external events, such as the annual Cyber Summit, customer webinars etc..
  • Working with project owners to co-lead multiple parts of the engagement delivery
  • You will have experience with Data Lifecycle management techniques and approaches enabled with Microsoft Purview.
  • Working with customers to discover, design and implement data management solutions.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of zero trust and SASE concepts and be able to guide customers to identify a path to implementation and technical gap analysis.
  • This Consultant will develop and deliver user stories and use cases and will work with other interdependent engineers and solution architects to produce technical requirements and identify related business benefits.
  • Supporting the continued commercial attractiveness of ITC's suite of Professional and Managed Services by proactively identifying opportunities to upsell.

We are Looking for Someone With:
  • A strong foundation across the Microsoft Security solution stack, including on-premise, endpoint and Azure based solutions.
  • Can demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience or hold some or all of the following certifications, or be willing to achieve them:
    • CISSP
    • CompTIA Security+
    • SC-400
  • Knowledge of security standards like CIS, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR and Cyber Essentials
  • Understanding compliance and regulatory requirements related to data security
  • Experience delivering Microsoft focused pre-sales discovery engagements with customers.
  • Demonstrate working in Agile environment
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and multi-task
  • Experience of, and comfort with, public speaking to support customer seminars or events
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Cloud Security offerings
  • Experience with Microsoft, Google and Amazon cloud environments
  • Deployment experience of Microsoft 365 including:
    • Microsoft Information Protection
    • Insider Risk
    • Data Loss Prevention
    • Microsoft Defender For Endpoint, For Identity & For Cloud App
  • Ability to apply structured thinking, simplifying complex problems into component parts, to the resolution of project challenges
  • Workshop skill for conveying information to customers, lead meetings and provide actionable writeups of tasks / actions.
  • knowledge of modern application architectures and cloud platforms
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality within expected timeframes and on budget

Working Hours: Normal working hours are 7.5 hours a day - Monday - Friday.

Working Location: ITC Secure is operating a hybrid working model, with the option to access our London, Canary Wharf office when needed. Some engagements may require visits/time spent on customer premises.

Travel: Some travel to customer site when necessary.
