Job summary

A leading UK merchant banking group is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to enhance data governance and quality reporting. In this role, you'll manage data quality exceptions, build automated data extracts, and design governance controls. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in data profiling, cleansing, and analytics, as well as expertise in SQL and tools like Alteryx and Tableau. Overall Summary

Join the Close Brothers Retail Operations Team where you will document data provisioning requirements from bureau and regulatory organisations, providing supporting data profiling and metrics. Working as part of the Retail Operations team our ideal team member will have previous experience in providing data profiling & cleansing, data quality reporting with an excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Manage data quality exceptions arising from creation of data products for Product Sales Data (PSD).
  • Management of reference data and changes to the definition of the aggregate, Bank level, PSD data product.
  • Build and automate the data extracts or models which are required for visual solutions using Alteryx, SQL, etc.
  • Collate, test, and check independently sourced data and assess its robustness and fitness for purpose.
  • Work closely with key contacts to identify and capture data problems, gaps etc and interpret and translate these into business, application, and operational requirements. Present findings at the relevant working group.
  • Design Data Governance/Data Quality rules and controls, engaging with business subject matter experts and IT/technology resources.
  • Use the Data Readiness Standard and Critical Data Elements standard to ensure requirements are documented consistently. Ensure that Close Brothers Data Governance standards are being designed into CCR delivery.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • An ability to understand, create and maintain meta-data.
  • The ability to clearly document data requirements for regulatory reporting using critical data elements standard for mapping sources, uses, definitions and supporting meta-data.
  • Experience in defining data controls and validation.
  • Experience on regulatory / bureau data submission processes.
  • Experience of data analytics, profiling and cleansing.
  • Experience creating DQ Dashboards and data visualisation.
It is not essential but it would be great if you have/can:
  • Create interactive dashboards using Tableau.
  • An ability to configure Informatica IDQ, Analyst and Meta Manager products to validate data to definition.
  • An ability to use tooling to expose and document lineage using BCBS 239 principles.
  • Experience of logical data modelling, data warehouse concepts and designs.
  • Knowledge of Informatica and/or SSIS.
  • Knowledge of Irish CCR requirements or other jurisdiction bureau reporting.
