Azure Data Engineer

UK Remote (with occasional travel)

This is an exciting Senior Data Engineering role with one of the UK’s fastest-growing AI and Data transformation partners. In return for an exceptional package, flexible work and remote-first, you will get the chance to play a key role in the development of Azure data platforms for the leading Governmental, Retail and Technology clients across the UK.

This role would see you immersed in the very latest and best of cloud-first, data-engineering and data-architecture. We really need an Azure expert who lives and breathes the Microsoft data ecosystem, covering tools like Data Factory, Data Blocks, Azure SQL, and much more.

The Data & AI arm of this organisation is seeing exceptional growth, with a number of high-profile projects kicking off. As one of the principal owners of their MS Azure data strategy and architecture, you would be responsible for:

1. The build of cloud-based data platforms incorporating the full Azure data stack
2. ETL Pipelines
3. Data Modelling (Logical, Physical, Conceptual)
4. Data Mapping

The skills we are looking for include:

1. Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Blobs, Azure SQL, Synapse, etc.
2. Python development for data engineering
3. C# experience would be advantageous
4. Solid experience with databases
5. A curious mindset!

The role is mostly remote but we need you to be close enough to travel to their Glasgow or Reading office when needed. Please note there is no sponsorship available for this role.
