Wehave a fantastic opportunity to join our award-winning Team as a Senior CSUAccountant. This is a key position which supports clinical and non-clinicalservice units, providing financial information and advice, working inpartnership with financial and non-financial colleagues from within and outsideof the organisation.

Thereare 2 roles currently vacant which support Clinical Service Units to providefinancial management support and advice to the clinical management team andbudget holders to deliver financial targets and make best use of resources.

Aspart of a wider team and with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, this roleprovides exposure to a varied agenda, with a clear focus on putting the patientat the centre of everything we do.

Main duties of the job

Theprimary purpose of the Senior CSU Accountant Job is to provide financialsupport and advice to managers and clinicians in a number of business units, inorder to help them deliver their financial responsibilities and achievesustainable financial improvement through:

Assisting them in developing plans tomeet savings targets.

Monitoring and reporting on theresults of intended actions.

Communicating the Trusts financialstrategies and policies and how the actions of the business unit impact uponit.

Providing accurate and timelyfinancial analysis and information to support their understanding of currentperformance and how this can be improved, creating financial models asappropriate.

Supporting the production andmaintenance of financial forecasts and highlighting associated risks.

Using available business intelligenceand performance data including benchmarking to identify opportunities for wastereduction and the effective and efficient management of resources.

The financial assessment of businesscases for service change.

Helping to ensure that theappropriate financial governance and grip and control mechanisms exist throughthe business unit.

Job responsibilities

Theperson we are looking for will be a fully Qualified CCAB or ACMA Accountant.Main duties include:

Supportingthe organisation in developing plans to make best use of resources andachieve financial targets through using available business intelligence.

Providingaccurate and timely financial analysis and information to support theunderstanding of current performance and how this can be improved, creatingfinancial models as appropriate.

Supportingthe production and maintenance of financial forecasts and highlightingassociated risks.

Modellingthe impact of internal and external policy and activity changes on the Trustsfinancial position, understanding financial risks and opportunities forgrowth.

Supportingcolleagues in developing strategy and business cases, modelling financialimpact over the long term.

Buildingrelationships with key external stakeholders, developing partnerships whichwill support the Trusts objectives.

Qualifications
  • Full Professional Accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA qualified)
  • 5 O levels/GCSEs to include Maths and English
