Y Royalties was established in 2023 by Colin Young, Ben Marlow and Gary Groutage. Offering services in Royalties Data, Rights Management, Audit and Transaction Services.

Y Royalties started from the Royalties division at Award Winning Accountancy firm, CC Young & Co, which has nearly 30 years of experience in the Music Industry this year. The success of this division along with our knowledge and experience gained over the years has enabled the birth of Y Royalties.

Our commitment to innovation led us to invest significantly in our data infrastructure in 2020. Our data warehouse now sits at the heart of all our services, enabling us to analyse royalties at the most granular level, highlighting trends, anomalies and opportunities in our client’s royalty income.

In the Rights Management department, we manage, track, and reconcile incoming royalty statements while overseeing all aspects of client publishing administration, including society affiliations, work registrations, and catalogue maintenance. We continuously maintain and enhance royalty tracking processes, addressing and resolving data queries from both internal teams and clients.

Why join us?

Y Royalties is a data-led, relaxed and innovative workplace with a growing presence in the music rights space.

You will learn about the flow of royalties, pitfalls of data, facets of different rights types, how to read publishing / record deals and everything needed to assist clients throughout the deal process and beyond.

You will be working closely with experts in the field who will help to boost your personal development and enable you to contribute to the growth of an expanding, dynamic team.

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

You don't need to know music royalties inside-out on day one – we'll train you on the specifics.

What matters is that you're technically strong, commercially astute, and can operate independently at pace.

Role : Senior Coordinator Department : Rights Management

Who you are :

You will have a passion for Music with a particularly keen interest in Royalties.

You may be already working in royalties, music publishing, or a similar part of the music industry. You’ll show a curiosity into musical royalty collections, as well as an ability to apply your understanding of revenue streams against royalty analysis – to identify collections issues with a view to rectify your findings with the required sources.

What you’ll be doing

You will actively participate in the creation of global publishing structures for our clients, to optimise data transparency and royalty collections. You will show a willingness to learn, looking for more opportunities to develop your Royalties knowledge in a fast-paced environment and an inquisitive nature towards musical reporting.
