They are looking for a Senior Conveyancing Assistant to join the team where you will have the opportunity to continue your develop and grow as the firm does. Many of the senior members of the firm have been with them for a number of years having progressed up the ranks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue sale contracts
- Replying to enquiries
- Providing a comprehensive and professional Residential Conveyancing service to all clients
- Submitting searches, filing SDLT
- Good telephone and organisational skills, a proactive approach, as well as the ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
- Undertaking exchanges of contract, preparing files for completion
- An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Residential Conveyancing work with the ability to manage a challenging and varied caseload of property work accurately
- Experience with transactional, re-mortgage, freehold and leasehold, staircasing, transfers of equity, deed variation and shared ownership is preferable
- Excellent ICT skills and the ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house case management systems
- An excellent knowledge of the Land Registry procedures including making applications for land registration
- Purchase contract approval, investigating of title and the raising and checking of enquiries when necessary – in absence of Conveyancer
- Reporting on mortgage offers searches and title when necessary – in absence of Conveyancer
The ideal candidate will
- Ideally be a Law graduate but not essential (2.1 or above)
- Have experience working within a conveyancing team (essential)
- Be ambitious & motivated to achieve personal & professional goals
- Able to work as part of a team and independently
- Experience in working with case management systems
- Have a willingness to learn and progress
- Applicants with strong volume conveyancing experience will only be considered for this opportunity, 3 years’ experience as a minimum
