What will your day to day look like?

In this role you’ll join a small-but-mighty team who are focused on developing model-based control software for battery and powertrain systems. You’ll be tasked with :

  • Developing processes and models aligned with industry standards
  • Requirement elicitation from stakeholders
  • Designing advanced strategy and software algorithms
  • Keeping on top of tech developments to enhance capabilities
  • Supporting the delivery of software and hardware
  • Prototyping and undertaking pre-production software releases
  • Commissioning and testing control systems (in house and externally)
  • Handling issue reporting and validation
Supporting technical meetings with customers

Success in this role looks like developing controls models on time, in budget, and to spec. You’re aiming for top-notch vehicle performance, driveability, and safety in everything you do.

This role will suit you if you…
  • Are educated to degree level in a relevant engineering / computer science subject
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience working as a model-based Software Engineer
  • Have worked on series production or motorsports systems
  • Are an expert in MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow
  • Know a thing or two about HV batteries, EV powertrains, and ICE software design
  • Have worked under functional safety frameworks (like ISO26262)
  • Can use tools to capture requirements at vehicle system level
  • Know how to lead MIL / SIL / HIL vehicle testing
  • Love problem solving with automotive electrical / electronics systems
  • Can collaborate effectively to innovate and problem solve
  • Know how to translate technical requirements into operational work
