Qualifications

• Must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, or be within six months of obtaining your CCT.
• Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment.
• Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and be the Responsible Clinician for all patients on Gloucester ward.
• Manage clinical complexity and oversee patient management.
• Participate in clinical audits to ensure service improvement.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Ability to manage clinical complexity

Decision-making based on evidence and experience

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification

Postgraduate degree in psychiatry MRC Psych or equivalent

Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register
