Qualifications

  • Significant experience in midwifery care at Band 8a and above.
  • Ability to demonstrate significant experience in midwifery practice, managing a clinical area and supporting staff.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and quality improvement practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support midwives to realise their full potential as autonomous practitioners.
  • Promote clinical pathways in maternity care.
  • Ensure that women and their families are at the centre of care planning.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Registered Midwife
Mentorship Accreditation or Practice Assessor accreditation
