A local authority consultancy is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead planning enforcement efforts in Elmbridge. The role involves handling complex breaches, ensuring compliance with legislation, and mentoring other officers. Ideal candidates should have strong experience in planning enforcement and be available for immediate start. This is a temporary position with potential for extension.

Rate of Pay: £35.00 - £44.98 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Compliance Officer Planning to lead on investigating and resolving breaches of planning control within Elmbridge Borough. Working as part of the Development Management team, you will handle complex enforcement cases, ensure developments comply with approved plans and planning conditions, and play a key role in proactive enforcement projects and public engagement. The role will require a balance of site investigations, negotiation, report writing, and legal processes, while maintaining strong communication with residents, Members, applicants, and developers.
