Overview

Senior Commercial Manager - Infrastructure Projects (MEP focus)

Location: Based near Derby

Salary: Up to £75,000 + car allowance + private medical + excellent benefits

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Responsibilities

• Oversee live projects, bid reviews, and contract negotiations across a growing infrastructure division.
• Take ownership of the commercial function—from CVRs and risk registers through to mentoring junior staff and negotiating high-value contracts.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations Director to drive commercial strategy and delivery.
• Manage project portfolios spanning defence, energy, healthcare, and rail.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proven commercial leader with contract negotiation experience.
• Confident working across CVRs, risk, procurement, and live project reviews.
• Able to lead, coach, and support junior QSs and Commercial Managers.
• Comfortable working on secure/regulated projects (defence/energy).
• Ideally MEP background or strong understanding of building services.
• Typical project values range from £1m to £40m.
