A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a professional to lead simulation-based education initiatives. The role requires expertise in simulation and human factors, with responsibilities including coordinating simulation courses and ensuring high standards of educational delivery. Simulation Based Education (SBE) is widely recognised as a means of improving patient outcomes through enhanced learning of evidence-based standards. The simulation service supports the Trust in meeting two of its strategic priorities: improving clinical handover; improving sepsis screening and timely management. Furthermore, our service supports Trust strategic priorities: ability to deliver high quality care; be the employer of choice; and deliver care at better cost. In addition to this, our simulation service supports staff deliver the standard of care and experience expected as per our PROUD values. For all simulation services delivered in the Trust the post holder will have overview of these and implement quality procedures to ensure all simulation related educational opportunities contribute towards meeting Trust quality and strategic priorities, ASPiH standards, HEE strategy, and as part of this Trust values are met. Knowledge and experience of simulation and human factors are vital requirements for this position. All training delivered requires close collaboration and working relationships with internal and external staff. PLEASE NOTEApplicants with simulation experience who have not yet achieved Simulation Instructor status are invited to join at Band 6 as a developmental opportunity, with progression to Band 7 upon attaining instructor status within six months. The post holder will, as a senior team member, facilitate the delivery and development of simulation programmes run at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be expected to prioritise workload effectively, delegate tasks to junior team members, supporting those fulfilling objectives, and ensure simulation programmes are delivered to a high quality and are a reliable provision. The post holder will be responsible for the co‑ordination of the day to day running of simulation courses running within the education centre and support simulation activity at the Chelsea and Westminster site when needed, providing expert advice as require.
