A prominent healthcare provider in Salford is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Orthoplastic Surgery to join a growing team at the Salford Royal Hospital. The role includes patient care responsibilities, outpatient clinics, and participation in multidisciplinary discussions. Candidates must have MRCS or equivalent and significant experience in plastic surgery. An exciting opportunity to join a growing orthoplastic service within the major trauma centre at Salford Royal Hospital of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA). Salford Royal Hospital MTC hosts the regional neurosurgery and dermatology services as well as The Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital. The orthoplastic service provides plastic surgery cover for all patients attending the MTC including those with hand trauma and limb reconstructive trauma that present.
As the senior clinical fellows appointed to the department, the successful applicants will join a growing consultant body, a team of SHOs, a dedicated FY1, and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will be based at Salford Royal with elective lists also based at other hospitals within the Northern Care Alliance. The successful applicant must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a Licence to Practise. The job plan will be subject to review during the initial six months period and again at 12 months to help streamline the development of the department. There is scope for performance based contract extension.
