A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate for a full-time neurology position. This role includes providing high-quality care to neurology patients, participating in research and teaching, and collaborating with a large team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have GMC specialist registration and be committed to the ongoing development of their clinical skills. This post is to cover a vacancy within the department due to other members of the resident neurology team working less than full time. The post would be ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic candidate, wanting to gain experience in Neurology in a regional neuroscience centre.
The Neurology Department provides comprehensive adult neurological care for both emergency and elective work. This includes an inpatient Neurology ward (Charing Cross), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), a planned Neurological Treatment Unit (NTU), an Acute Neurology service, a wide range of sub‑speciality outpatient clinics and a number of Multi-disciplinary team meetings.
This is a large department with over 40 Consultant Neurologists linked to Imperial (based at Charing Cross, St. Mary’s or Hammersmith Hospitals), many with clinical duties at allied District General Hospitals and/or research commitments within academic departments at Imperial College.
The Neurology department is complemented by the Hyperacute Stroke Unit, Neurosurgery Unit, Neuroradiology Department (with access to CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and interventional neuroradiology) and Neurophysiology Department.
The post will be full‑time for twelve months. As Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has services across multiple sites, the post‑holders may be required to work at a differing site on certain days of the week.
