Young People

A young person must be in part-time education or training until they are 18. Therefore, if you are under 18 we are unable to employ you on a full-time basis unless it is in an apprenticeship role.

Disclosure and Barring Service checks

If the role requires a DBS check, we will administer this on your behalf with the cost recovered from your salary. The level of check depends on the role. Current charges are Basic £26.40, Standard £26.40, Enhanced £54.40. If you withdraw after a DBS is obtained, you may be required to reimburse the cost. DBS checks are free for volunteers. The DBS Code of Practice can be accessed here.

In line with guidance from the UK Health Security Agency, all staff and volunteers must comply with Trust Infection Prevention and Control processes, including mask wearing and adherence to social distancing at all Trust sites.
