Join a prestigious NHS Trust as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine, where you'll play a key role in a supportive team providing 24/7 trauma care. We have been assigned by one of the UK's prestigious NHS Trusts to help recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department.
Our client is an award-winning Trust serving a population of a quarter of a million people, with nearly 5,000 staff. The Trust aims to deliver high-quality, safe care and offers a full range of district hospital services, including specialist cancer and surgical services in collaboration with neighboring teaching hospitals. It has achieved recognition such as being among the top 10 hospitals in the country for hip, knee, and joint replacement outcomes, and its Stroke services receive high ratings in the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP).
This Emergency Department offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join an award-winning department. The department provides a fully supported education and training program, including generous study leave with full funding. It is a 24/7 designated Trauma Unit managing critical illness, major trauma, and ambulatory care for a population of 225,000. The role includes clinical supervision, competency assessment, and education, with each doctor assigned an Educational Supervisor and compliance with RCEM 2021 Education Development Time (EDT) guidelines.
The successful candidate will join a team comprising seven Consultants, one Associate Specialist, two Specialty Registrars, nine Clinical Fellows, one ACCS, two STGP2, four ST1GP, three F2, and two F1 doctors. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, participating in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, contributing to the rota, and assisting with clinical governance and audit duties.
