Overview

The post will support patients on both sites and work closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists in Cardiology. This Registrar (ST3 equivalent) post is based at Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospitals across two sites. The fixed‑term post has an on‑call commitment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day care for inpatients on the coronary care unit/cardiology ward under consultant supervision.
  • See ward referrals and supervise two IMTs and three junior clinical fellows.
  • Undertake up to two outpatient general cardiology clinics per week.
  • Contribute to departmental audit projects and medical student teaching; attend the weekly cardiology departmental meeting.
Qualifications
  • GMC registration and MBBS essential; MRCP desirable.
  • Suitable for post‑foundation stage doctors or junior doctors with previous cardiology experience (some experience highly desirable).
  • Ability to extend beyond 6 months is possible.
