Job description

As a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Cell Collection Centre at NUH, you will lead donor medical assessments, support apheresis nursing, and contribute to clinical research and quality improvement within the Anthony Nolan service.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct donor medical assessments including history, examination and assessment of suitability for peripheral blood stem cell collection.
  • Support apheresis nursing teams during procedures and manage complications.
  • Lead clinical governance activities: audits, incident reporting, risk management, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and professional development.
  • Contribute to research and innovation projects in partnership with Nottingham University and the Trust’s R&I Department.
  • Collaborate with the Anthony Nolan Registry medical team and clinical fellows.
Professional Registration
  • GMC registration.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
Professional Qualifications and Development
  • Essential: MBBS/MBChB or equivalent MRCP.
  • Desirable: FRC Path part 1.
Clinical Skills
  • Evidence of technical skills in haematology assessment and donor care.
  • Effective communication and clinical decision making.
  • Experience in risk management and delivery of clinical research.
  • Desirable: interest in stem cell transplantation or cellular therapy; specialist trainee experience.

  • Good written and spoken English, including medical topics.
