  • Drive timely resolution of claims managed by solicitors.
  • Maintain accurate reserves and update internal systems.

The opportunity :

We are looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our Core Claims team in Leeds. This pivotal role is responsible for managing both Motor and Casualty complex claims (ranging from a value of £100k‑£500k), providing technical guidance to colleagues, and supporting the delivery of our claims strategy. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving claims efficiently and economically. Your new role
  • Act as a referral point and provide technical mentoring to Claims Adjusters and Technicians.
  • Support the Assistant Claims Manager and Team Leaders in delivering the Claims strategy.
  • Deliver bespoke training and guidance to the Claims team.
  • Investigate and resolve complex and specialist claims to ensure high‑quality service and minimal leakage.
  • Manage estimates, billings, and discrepancies with clients and brokers.
  • Identify and address coverage, subrogation, contribution, and recovery issues.
  • Handle disputed and material claims to achieve economic resolution.
  • Oversee claims managed by panel solicitors to drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate reserves and ensure timely updates to internal systems.
  • Support stakeholder relationships and contribute to management reporting and portfolio monitoring.
About you
  • Proven experience handling EL / PL and Motor claims, up to £500K in value
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, and statutory frameworks
  • Excellent investigative and negotiation skills with a solution‑focused mindset
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to adapt style to suit different audiences
  • Skilled at building positive relationships and collaborating across teams
  • Comfortable presenting insights and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
