The role involves mentoring junior engineers, managing projects from design to delivery, and building client relationships. Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, possess strong technical skills, and have experience in the electricity supply industry. Engineers within my client's business are at the heart of delivering transformative energy projects that reduce carbon emissions while supporting future energy security. Their Powergrids team is actively involved in projects across electricity transmission and distribution, gas storage, battery storage, green hydrogen, power and industrial assets, alongside a broad range of design and assessment work.
You'll join a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in the electrical transmission and distribution sector, while also contributing to wider Net Zero Energy projects. The role offers a stimulating variety of work, ranging from feasibility studies and optioneering through to detailed design, site surveys, condition assessments and design verification.
This role is ideal for a versatile engineer who enjoys working across a wide range of tasks and project scales. You may be delivering an individual technical assignment or working as part of a larger multidisciplinary team. You'll work closely with clients on technically demanding challenges, while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers. My client is growing their capability in this area and is looking for someone to work closely with the civil and structural team lead to deliver high-quality technical work and develop the wider team.
