A leading civil engineering firm in Derby is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their design team. Salary: 45-52k, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-4pm)
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering design team based in Derby. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects, strong professional development support, and the chance to contribute to high-quality engineering solutions across multiple sectors.
This position is ideal for a civil engineer who can bring strong technical capability, a logical approach to problem solving, and an ability to communicate confidently with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
You will take a lead role in the design and drafting of SuDS schemes, external works, and adoptable infrastructure including Section 38 and Section 104 agreements. Project work spans residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments, with construction values ranging from £250k to £30m. Many schemes are delivered to BIM Level 2.
You will use industry-standard software including MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D, PDS, and AutoCAD to produce high-quality design outputs. The role also involves supporting the team leader in the planning and coordination of workloads, ensuring projects are delivered on programme and to current design standards.
