Overview

In this role you will be providing technical solutions, and you will undertake feasibility evaluation/assessment for projects and create designs & specifications for AMP8 and beyond for Water Treatment facilities for Severn Trent Water. As the schemes progress you will be creating and evaluating designs & specifications for tender through in-house design and through utilisation of consultant design teams. You will come up with innovative design solutions to support the delivery of our projects & you will need to think about the wider context of our changing environment, climate change pledge and carbon commitments. Teamwork is key across Capital Design and Delivery so we would want you to demonstrate leadership and assist with defining team goals and actively drive problem solving/ information processing and support the team in translating this information concisely. You will deliver projects to programme, within budget, to the correct quality standards. Be part of developing the future design team!

Responsibilities

You will come equipped with your design experience and you will prepare conceptual designs to create innovative and efficient solutions. You will also need to engage with appropriate stakeholders in order to understand the root cause of the business problem, so it is very important for us you are confident to liaise with the stakeholders and build relationships and influence at mid and senior leadership levels. You will have a degree in civil engineering and showing your professional commitment as a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or actively working towards incorporated or chartered status, a journey which we are keen to support you on. You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment.
