We source exceptional produce from trusted farmers and growers. We foster a fast-paced, friendly environment where research, creativity, and new ideas are encouraged. Kiln has won multiple awards and appeared on prestigious restaurant lists, earning its place as a key institution in the London dining scene. We hold daily briefings with the team to taste dishes and wines from our ever-evolving menu. We value curiosity and humility—experience isn’t essential, but a desire to learn is.

We’re seeking a Senior CDP to join our Kitchen Team!

What you’ll be doing:
  • Collaborate closely with our senior kitchen team to maintain consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee and manage your assigned kitchen section, coordinating daily prep schedules and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Lead daily briefings for your section team to set expectations and assign responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of junior staff, focusing on essential skills such as food preparation, presentation, and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor progress and assess training effectiveness, adjusting programmes as needed to ensure continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections of your section to ensure compliance with internal and external hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure that all team members strictly adhere to food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and labelling of ingredients.
  • Serve as primary support to Sous Chefs during high-volume service periods, providing backup and troubleshooting as required.
  • Address any issues that arise during service quickly and efficiently to maintain consistent quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of our produce and suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredient selection.
  • Ensure a strong understanding of food safety standards and legislative requirements to uphold a 5-star EHO rating.
What you’ll bring:
  • Passion and knowledge of restaurants, good cooking, good sourcing of food and drink are a great headstart. But most important is the appetite to learn, grow and be a part of building the most exciting restaurant group in London.
  • 2 years of experience in a fast paced kitchen, where excellence is consistent on every plate.
  • You’re confident in training and developing junior team members.
  • A love for cooking and creating unique dishes.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts across 5 out of 7 days.
  • Full UK right to work documents.
What’s in it for you:
  • 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • Access to courses, resources, and training to enhance your career.
  • 50% discount at all our restaurants, along with complimentary staff meals during your shifts.
  • Discounted dining at various local establishments near Super 8 Restaurants.
  • Enhanced maternity leave, pension scheme, subsidised mental health support, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Refer a Friend scheme—recommend someone to join Super 8 and receive a bonus!
  • Opportunities for both international and national travel to visit our suppliers and learn about sourcing ingredients and beverages.
  • £300 contribution towards the purchase of a work laptop for all salaried staff members.

If this role sounds like a great fit for you, we’d love to see your application! Please keep in mind that it may take us 1 to 2 weeks to get back to you due to the high volume of applications. Thanks for your patience!
