Job description

We are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic Senior Carers to join our friendly team.

As a Senior Carer you'll be trained in medicine management, and you will be responsible for giving out medication to our residents from time to time as well as supervising other members of the care team on shift alongside the Team Leader & Head of Care. You will also be responsible for completing Care Plans for new and existing residents of the home. You will also be asked sometimes to go out and do pre-assessment for potential new residents, whether they are in Hospital or in their own home. To assist the residents who need help with all aspects of daily living.

Responsibilities
  • Giving out medication to residents using our Electronic Medication system.
  • Promote the mental and physical well-being of residents through talking to them, taking them out and engaging in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment ensuring adherence to the home’s standard of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times.
  • Promote and adhere to the Health & Safety Policy designed to protect all staff, residents and visitors from known hazards.
  • Actively be involved in the training programme and teaching of junior staff.
  • Ensure that unnecessary damage to the building and contents is not caused by careless movement of residents' wheelchairs, etc.
  • Attend training activities as appropriate.
  • Report faulty equipment and/or damage caused within the home.
  • Assist in keeping meaningful residents' records.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Undertake any other duties which are considered appropriate from time to time.
