Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Night shift working a 3 on 3 off rotation.
  • Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Build relationships with residents and their families, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the team positively.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
  • Maintain accurate records of care activities and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
  • Communicate with residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner at all times.
  • Time‑manage duties effectively to meet the needs of residents and the care team.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Senior Care Experience
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
  • Brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people
  • Good record‑keeping skills and effective time management

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience leading teams of Care Assistants in a residential or nursing setting
