Overview

Senior Carer - Care Home

Hours: 44 hours per week

Location: Walton-on-Thames, KT12 4DD

Salary: £16.39 per hour (Days) to £17.39 per hour (Nights) plus £750 'Golden Hello' Bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift, including training, supervisions and delegating duties.
• Support with administering and ordering of medication.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GP’s, district nursing teams and resident family members.
• Deliver quality, person-centred care while respecting residents’ dignity and preferences.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our Residents. We’re looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there’s no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Care Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or on to nursing pathways.
