Job description
Overview

This role is for Full Time Days, 33 hours per week, working over a seven day rota.

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care, helping residents with dignity, security and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and be a positive influence on the rest of the team. You may assist residents with mobility, meals, and communicating with families, always approaching tasks with kindness.

You will collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medications where required. You will maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with your team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care for residents; ensure dignity and independence.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and administer medications in line with policies.
  • Support residents and families, including telephone communication as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide physical and mental stimulation through activities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or NVQ/SNVQ; willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong record-keeping, time management, and communication skills; positive energy and kindness.
