Job description
Overview

Senior Care Assistant needed at HC One. Kindness is at the core of care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence, personalise care plans, and lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain the highest standards of care. You will support residents and their families, assist Registered Nurses and Care Managers, and provide physical and mental stimulation through activities, including administration of medication. You will maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants to deliver high standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care that enhances residents’ security, dignity and independence.
  • Know residents and families to ensure truly personalised care plans.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through activities; administer medication.
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivered and build strong relationships with the team.
  • Demonstrate kindness in all interactions with residents, families, and co-workers.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Brilliant positive energy and ability to get along with people.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and effective time management.
  • Consistent, considerate, and kind communication with residents and colleagues.
Working Hours

This is a full-time position of 33 or 44 hours per week.
