Overview

This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting the care team in delivering high-quality personal care to residents, while also taking on additional responsibilities such as care planning, staff supervision, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development.

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes impacting care and updating care plans as needed.
  • Involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.
