Job description
Overview

Night position. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, helping residents with dignified, personalised care and building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and influence the team by example. You may assist with activities, support residents’ physical and mental stimulation, and work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential care, including administering medication when required.

One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement personalised care plans to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care.
  • Assist with daily living activities and support residents and families as needed.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medication as directed and collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivered and communicate effectively with the team.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or NVQ) and willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care.
  • Strong positive energy, ability to get along with people, and excellent record-keeping and time-management skills.
  • Comprehensive safeguarding awareness and commitment to reporting concerns.
