Job description
Overview

This is a full-time role on dayshift as a Senior Care Assistant at HC One. Kindness is at the core of everything we do in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. We aim to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence by delivering highly personalised care and building strong relationships with residents and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, acting as an influence on the team.
  • Assist with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation and, when needed, support with medication administration.
  • Work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to support care delivery and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of the care you provide and build strong relationships with the team.
  • Ensure safeguarding is observed and report concerns as appropriate; attend safeguarding training relevant to the role.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, have completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong record-keeping, time-management and communication skills; a positive, kind, and patient approach with residents and colleagues.
