A leading healthcare provider is seeking a committed Senior Care Assistant for a nursing home in Ashton-in-Makerfield. As part of your role, you'll manage the care team, ensuring high standards of care according to CQC guidelines. Overview

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Care Assistant to work in an exceptional care home based in the Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers. An inviting, purpose built nursing home, providing the most comfortable and supportive environment for residents who require general nursing care, dementia nursing or residential dementia care.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities
  • You will be tasked with managing the care team within the Home
  • Ensuring that care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines whilst providing exceptional levels of care to residents
  • Promote and deliver high standards of care and supervise
  • Instruct less experienced staff to enable them to fully contribute to the care provided within the Home
Preferred skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly
Salary and Benefits

The successful Senior Care Assistant will receive an excellent salary of £13.16 per hour and the annual salary is £22,582.56 per annum.
