Our client has a long and fascinating history spanning over 140 years and is part of a larger retail group with an entrepreneurial owner. Their 90+ stores and website are supported by a Retail Support Centre in Wimbledon, a distribution centre in Buckinghamshire, and customer support centre in the Northwest. They are people-oriented Company which thrives on supporting its colleagues by providing them with the knowledge, tools, policies and procedures they need to excel in their role.
They are now looking for a Senior Buyer with SDA (small domestic appliances) experience to deliver the budgeted financial KPIs (Sales / Income / Terms / Stock turn) as agreed with the Head of Retail Sales and Trading Director. This role will be based out of their Wimbledon offices and will largely be office based with up to one day per week WFH. As one of their Senior Buyers you will build a market leading product and promotional proposition across stores and online which consistently offers the consumer a compelling reason to shop with the brand. Maximising profitability through strong negotiation and a relevant pricing strategy. You will also work with the Head of and wider team to deliver e-commerce growth plans through an appropriate stocked‑in strategy.
