Lewisham Adult Social Care is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Business Support Officer to join our Business Support Team, and to help play a key role in achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable adults in our Borough.
As a member of Business Support you will be part of a busy administrative team working across Adult Social Care, carrying out a wide range of business processes to support internal and external customers. Working together to achieve our vision, to make our service as efficient and effective as possible.
A Senior Business Support Officer with experience in organisational tasks, multitasking, communication, and administrative support.
The role includes providing clerical and administrative support as needed, such as minute taking for designated meetings held virtually or in person.
Candidates should have knowledge of Adult Social Care services and demonstrate a commitment to supporting the workforce. The position requires working in a sensitive and confidential setting, which may involve exposure to difficult information regarding families and individuals. The work environment can be fast‑paced, so the ability to think clearly and calmly is essential to maintaining accurate systems and processes. Candidates need to prioritise changing workloads and proactively promote efficient working practices to meet service requirements and comply with statutory guidelines.
Additionally, effective communication skills are required for providing customer care to service users, internal staff, and external partner agencies. The role also expects candidates to use their initiative, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively within a team setting.

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

£37,509‑£38,637 per annum (Scale 6)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
