Overview

Job title: Senior Business Management Officer

Location: Samlesbury. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683+ depending on experience

What you'll be doing

• Support the Team Leader and Manager in the definition & delivery of specific ITS automation projects, involving cross-functional working, to achieve the agreed project outcomes and realisation of quantified benefits
• Support the measurement, reporting and forecasting of ITS data management and controls
• Support Risk Management in identifying and document new and current Risks associated with ITS
• Provide support to the Air Sector in Delivery Planning of new business ensuring new processes/Work Instructions/Service Level Agreements are implemented into our Import/Export Operational teams prior to go live/ hand over to the ITS Operational teams
• Be responsible for Web based packages including Tableau, Jira & Confluence. Ensuring the ITS Portal is kept topical and informative to the wider business
• Liaising with external bodies (e.g. - freight forwarders) on Import or Export matters for new and existing business. Support in the co-ordination and delivery of Monthly Supplier Reviews and assist in the roll out of the new 4PL strategy and new Warehousing solution via liaison with the Group Transport team
• Ensuring the financial element of import/export operations are considered at every opportunity to maintain cost efficiencies and drive margin expansion

Your skills and experiences

Essential Skills

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, fostering close & trusting relationships with all stakeholders
• A Continuous Improvement mind-set with proven examples of identifying new ideas that drive improvement, problem solving and working collaboratively with others to identify a solution ideally within a Global Trade (or similar) environment
• Ability to compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentations

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience of working on Change / Transformation projects
• Previous experience working in an Import / Export / Customs / Global Trade environment
• Previous experience of working with financial aspect of budget management
• Previous experience of Risk Management
• BTEC or equivalent professional qualifications relevant to the job role
• Institute of Export Level 3 and above
