Job summary

A leading housing association in Central London seeks a Senior Building Surveyor for a 3-6 month contract. Senior Building Surveyor - Central London Housing Association

£300 PAYE / £350 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities
  • Conduct full building surveys, prepare detailed reports, and provide cost analysis.
  • Manage programmes of works including disrepair, major repairs, and compliance-related projects.
  • Prepare scheme designs, tender documents, and procurement strategies.
  • Act as party wall surveyor, lead on dilapidations, and manage planning applications where required.
  • Oversee contractor performance and drive service improvements using data and insight.
  • Mentor surveyors and support colleagues in professional development.
  • Represent the organisation externally with stakeholders and contractors.
Requirements
  • Chartered membership (RICS or CIOB) with minimum 5 years\' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong project management experience across major works and asset management.
  • Proven experience preparing tenders, cost appraisals, and managing accounts.
  • Knowledge of legislation, compliance, and performance management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
