VANRATH is delighted to be working with a prominent and well-established Belfast business to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper to become part of a well-established finance team. This role will initially be on a 12 month contract basis with potential for extension.

What you'll do
  • Responsibility for management accounts, including prepayments, general accruals and other relevant journal entries.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Management of the purchase and sales ledger, including reconciliation and posting of company credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy of recording and prompt payments and receipts.
  • Processing of monthly payment runs, including supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month end close.
  • Management of the inter-company accounts, including responsibility for monthly inter-company recharge invoices and payments.
  • Preparation and payment of weekly wages in accordance with statutory requirements and processing of associated HMRC returns, including weekly RTI returns.
  • Preparation and posting of weekly payroll related journals.
About You

Essential Experience

IATI qualified or minimum part qualified accountant in a recognised accountancy body such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAI or ICAEW with at least two years' recent finance experience in a relevant finance environment.
