A leading healthcare institution in Bromborough is looking for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to perform scientific investigations for infectious diseases. The role involves supervising staff, managing information systems, and acting as the information Officer for data requests. The candidate should be highly experienced and will have technical responsibilities in the laboratory. This position is crucial for maintaining the quality of care in one of the busiest acute Trusts in the North West of England.

The post-holder is a highly experienced, state registered Senior Biomedical Scientist and performs scientific investigations in the diagnosis of infectious diseases, the role also includes managing the information and computer systems used by the Microbiology service. Additionally, acting as information Officer in respect of requests for data searches on the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Involved in the daily supervision of Biomedical Scientists and support staff.
Has technical responsibility of a section of the laboratory. Scientists in this grade take charge of a section of work and will be expected to supervise and train qualified and unqualified staff.
They may also work unsupervised as part of the 24/7 service.
